In 1985 he studied for Negotiation, Essentials of Banking and Banking Investments with Wits university. In 1986 He studied Managerial Advancement Programme(MAP),Industrial Relations and Legal Environment of Business with Wits University. In 1989 he studied for Accounting for Managers with Wits University. In 1994, he did a course in Rough Diamond valuations/Polishing with Harry Oppeheimer Diamond School.

He started working for a family Food & Grocery Outlet at age 6. He joined Standard Bank Fund Managers, Investment Section as Special Projects Manager in 1986 to 1987. In 1987 he was the Managing Director of Soweto Investment Trust Company Limited until in 1994 when he became the first Black to have a diamond licence which let to the establishment of Masingita Diamonds & Jewellery Manufacturers of which he is currently the Managing Director. Masingita as a company has since diverted in to mining industry were he is now the Chairperson of Masingita Mining.

He is currently the Chairman of other Masingita Companies and he is serving on different committees and boards of the diamond industry. Founder member of the NBBC.
